About Mobisaria

Mobisaria was established in 2017 with the aim of improving digital literacy among rural communities and the unbanked through digital Sharia cooperatives. At the time, financial technology had yet to reach marginalized and rural areas, even though people in these remote regions need of financial technology solutions.

Mobisaria was founded by Rahmat Susanta and Dadang Geminar. For over ten years, Rahmat and Gemi have been actively involved in community development and small and medium enterprise (SME) development. The name Mobisaria is an acronym for Mobile, Business, Village (desa), and Sharia.

Mobisaria emerged at a time when mobile phones were becoming increasingly powerful in facilitating access to business and financial services in remote areas. Therefore, Mobisaria’s mission is to accelerate financial inclusion and digital business adoption in villages and underserved regions.

Through the Digital Village Patriot program, Mobisaria formed a community of individuals and cooperatives to become agents of change in their respective areas. As it grew, Mobisaria continuously adopted applicable technologies to help communities progress toward a better life.

Today, Mobisaria is developing Indonesia’s first halal-based blockchain technology—connecting Muslim ecosystems both locally and globally through a single platform that supports the halal economy and Sharia finance.
